Anti-Money Laundering & Know Your Customer Policy

1. Introduction & Purpose

Tech2 Group Ltd, operating as Crypto Web App, is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. This AML/KYC Policy outlines our procedures for customer identification, verification, and ongoing monitoring in compliance with:

  • EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives (AMLD5/AMLD6)
  • Cyprus AML Law (Law 188(I)/2007, as amended)
  • Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations
  • European Banking Authority Guidelines

2. Know Your Customer (KYC) Requirements

Tier 1 - Basic Verification

Required for account creation:

  • Full legal name
  • Email address verification
  • Phone number verification
  • Date of birth
  • Country of residence

Limits: View only / Demo trading

Tier 2 - Standard Verification

Required for trading and deposits:

  • Government-issued ID (Passport, National ID, or Driver's License)
  • Selfie with ID document
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement - less than 3 months old)

Limits: €15,000/month deposit, €10,000/day withdrawal

Tier 3 - Enhanced Verification

Required for higher limits:

  • Source of funds documentation
  • Source of wealth declaration
  • Additional identification documents
  • Video verification call (if required)

Limits: Customized based on risk assessment

3. Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

We perform Customer Due Diligence on all customers, with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for:

Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
High-risk jurisdictions
Complex ownership structures
Large or unusual transactions
High transaction volumes
Anonymous cryptocurrency sources

4. Ongoing Monitoring

We continuously monitor customer activity for suspicious behavior, including:

  • Transaction monitoring for unusual patterns
  • Automated alerts for high-risk activities
  • Periodic review of customer risk profiles
  • Sanctions screening against global watchlists
  • Adverse media monitoring

5. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Money laundering or terrorist financing
  • Using false or stolen identities
  • Circumventing transaction limits
  • Engaging in fraudulent activities
  • Trading on behalf of sanctioned individuals/entities
  • Using the platform for illegal purposes
  • Structuring transactions to avoid reporting thresholds

6. Suspicious Activity Reporting

We are obligated to report suspicious activities to the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) are filed without notifying the customer, in accordance with "tipping off" regulations.

7. Record Keeping

We maintain comprehensive records including:

  • Customer identification documents - 7 years after relationship ends
  • Transaction records - 7 years from transaction date
  • Risk assessments and due diligence files
  • Internal and external communications
  • SAR copies and related documentation

8. Sanctions Compliance

We screen all customers against international sanctions lists including:

✓ FATF High-Risk Jurisdictions
✓ Local Cyprus sanctions

9. Training & Awareness

All employees receive regular AML training covering:

  • Recognition of suspicious activities
  • KYC procedures and requirements
  • Reporting obligations
  • Regulatory updates and changes
  • Company policies and procedures

10. Compliance Officer

Our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) is responsible for:

  • Overseeing AML/KYC compliance
  • Reviewing and filing SARs
  • Training staff
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities
